The Golden Rule of Advise...

If I had to leave one single sentence of advise to next semester's incoming students, it would be this:

In order to be successful in the CS1300 class, one must follow all instructions as told, read all required material, pay attention to the class lecture, and, above all, be willing to open up the doors to creativity.

Websites Galore!!

After all of the presentations were over today in class I couldn't really decide which websites that I enjoyed the most. All I know is that as everyone took their turns, it made more and more nervous with my own creation. I couldn't believe the creativity of the entire class! It was just amazing to see all of the wonderful designs that the class had come up with.
Although I really enjoyed them all, my favorites were Chiara's, Tasha's, and Reuben's. They really did it for me. Chiara stole the show with her super cool drawings and website design. I still can not believe her talents. I just found it fascinating to be able to design something using your own artwork instead of just some random pictures off the Internet. Tasha's website was really pretty and very easy on the eyes. I liked her rotating pictures on her home page and how she was kind enough to share photos of some of the trips that she has been fortunate of taking. It was really neat! Reuben's website was just great!! It was really cute of him to show so many photographs of his family and of his childhood. That website is a keeper! I really enjoyed the video clip that he posted, but my favorite part was how he managed to incorporate all of his talents from football to knitting.
Being able to see all of the different ideas and ways that people approach the same assignment was really inspiring to me. I have learned a lot about my class based on their websites. This has got to be, by far, my favorite project.

Like I said, my classmates did a splendid job, but if you want, you can see my website as www.cs.trinity.edu/~adoming2

CS1300

Warning: To all those on their first day of class here in CS 1300, be prepared to learn a wide variety of things. I'm serious! This class is full of awesome information, and I now feel so much more confident with my computer abilities than I did before. Sometimes things may feel a bit tedious, but I reassure you that everything will be okay in the end. There may come a time when the work load feels like more than you can handle, but no fuss. In the end, you will feel much more confident with how much you have learned in this class. Just some quick reminders are to always attend class, because even just one day can set you back. Read all of the required material and take notes during the lecture in class, because several of the things you will be asked to do have multiple steps. Other than that, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy your time spent in Computer Skills.
